HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today voted unanimously to approve licenses for three companies that filed applications to be manufacturers of slot machines and associated equipment in the Commonwealth. Separately, the Board voted unanimously to approve licenses for 12 companies that filed applications to be suppliers of slot machines and associated equipment.

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board will hold a public meeting at 3 p.m. on Wednesday Aug. 9, 2006, in the Auditorium of the State Museum Building, at the corner of Third and North streets, in Harrisburg. The public and the media are invited to attend. This public meeting will take place after the conclusion of licensing hearings on conditional Category 1 gaming applicants already scheduled for Aug. 9.

The public meeting originally scheduled for Thursday Aug. 3, 2006, has been canceled.

"Pennsylvania Partners with the Public" explores the 18 days of hearings on the 22 gaming applications to gather input from individuals, community organizations, local elected officials and the applicants themselves.

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today voted unanimously to approve licenses for four companies that filed applications to be suppliers of slot machines and associated equipment in the Commonwealth.

All licenses are subject to a series of conditions set by the Board to ensure that the requirements of the Pennsylvania Race Horse Development and Gaming Act, and Board rules and regulations are met.
“Approving these licenses is another major step forward for gaming in Pennsylvania,” said Tad Decker, chairman of the Board.

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today announced an updated schedule of public meetings for remainder of 2006. All meetings will take place in Harrisburg.

The next public meeting of the Board will begin at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23, 2006. It will take place in Hearing Room 1 of the North Office Building in Harrisburg.

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today announced that it will make available for review public files on the six applicants for conditional Category 1 gaming licenses beginning on Monday Aug. 7, 2006. The files will be available the Board’s Harrisburg offices on the 5th floor of the Verizon Tower in Strawberry Square on Walnut Street.

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board will make available to the public the ownership stakes of applicants for gaming licenses in the Commonwealth on Monday Aug. 21, 2006, as part of its regular update of public information on applicants, Chairman Tad Decker said today. The information will be posted on the Gaming Control Board’s Web site, www.pgcb.state.pa.us.
