Doug Harbach joined the Gaming Control Board in July, 2006 and serves as Director of Communications. In that position, he is responsible for media and public relations, along with ensuring that the Board’s business is visible to the citizens of Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining the Gaming Board, Doug worked for the PA House of Representatives, in the private sector as a business consultant, and in broadcast news. He has also been very involved in local and regional organizations including Past Chairman of the Board of the Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce, past member of the Board of the Patriot Federal Credit Union along with a long time associations with Masonic organizations and with Lions Clubs in which he has been Lion of the Year twice and is a Melvin Jones Fellow.
Doug earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Shippensburg University where he has served as President of the Alumni Association, three Presidential Search Committees, and is currently serving in his third term as a Gubernatorial appointee to the school's Council of Trustees.
Doug resides in Chambersburg with his wife Sue.
