Board Members

George Dunbar was appointed to a two-year term on the Gaming Control Board in April 2024 by House Republican Leader Jesse Topper.

George served seven terms as State Representative for the 56th Legislative District and was elected by his peers to serve as chairman of the House Republican Caucus during his final two terms. In previous sessions, George served as majority vice chairman of the House Appropriations and Finance committees.

George earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from Robert Morris University and obtained his CPA license. Before his election to the House, George served as executive vice president at Wright Industries Inc., ran his own business – Dunbar Consulting and Accounting – and served as the controller and chief financial officer at Ryco Inc. 

George has served his community in a variety of different roles. From serving as a board member with the Penn Trafford Basketball Association to fulfilling his duties as a member of the Penn Area Library Board, the Penn Trafford Area Sewer Authority and as a Penn Township commissioner.

George and his wife, Sandy reside in Penn Township and have been blessed with four daughters: Stephanie, Erin, Alexandra and Samantha, as well as three grandchildren, Avery, Everett and Luca.
